The Bestest Early Mother's Day!

My darling kids TOTALLY shocked and surprised me a few weeks ago with an early Mother's Day gift. Once I figured out what the paper said, I couldn't speak for about 10 minutes.

As much as Cheryl (dear sister) can't stand him, I have loved his songs since my youth yet have never seen him in concert. Three more sleeps and Gord and I see him at Roger's Arena (Stevie Nicks will also be singing but to me, that's almost irrelevant)

I've always loved checking the mailbox so I was very happy when my order from a month ago finally arrived yesterday. I need to get going on a birth sampler for grandbaby boy who should arrive in about 2 months, if he's punctual. I ordered several so I could choose once I got them. The baby room will have a theme of vintage airplanes but I couldn't find anything fitting that wasn't too cutsie so these are my choices...

My personal favorite is the Noah's Ark but I'm thinking the boat might be more suiting.

If this is April Fools, I'm not laughing...

Weeping Pussy Willow

I just had to share a picture of this adorable little weeping willow I bought today at Safeway! Roxi had seen them and told me about them so when I went grocery shopping and took one look, I bought!
