Storm Watch

Alas, I am unable to go to work due to the crazy snowfall we've had over the last several days. Its not snowing right now but the roads are icy and they're calling for another 10 - 15 cm today.

Its been an added blessing for me to take my mind off other things and have fun playing in the snow.

...and I was able to do some machine quilting on this 'log cabin' I've been trying to finish...still love the colours even though I finished the top several years ago!

I'm at a loss how to blog again after my last couple of posts and what has happened since the morning of Christmas Eve...I can't imagine life ever being 'normal' again because it is forever changed for our family...what an emptiness with mom gone. These are some of the beautiful flowers friends sent for comfort...

...and the cheerful gerberas we had at the front of the church...
