With my job at a wholesale perennial nursery, I get an allowance each year to pick out up to $100 of plants. So one day at the end of summer, I bring Ana and we normally walk around the nursery.
I try and pick out a few plants to add to my feeble landscaping attempt in my yard. She picks out the ones she likes, mostly pink, of course!
This year it was spitting rain so one of us (namely me!) pushed the cart and all the plants and one little princess who didn't want to get wet...

Back to the Oregon Coast

Jakob chased the seagulls...

Ana looked for whales...

Someone new to love :)

We had everything we could ask for...

...a wonderful house big enough for all 12 of us (minus 1), only a block from the ocean...

...hands-on fun...

...exploring...

...MAN, this was FUN!!!

...and even some time to hunt for treasures...

Same time next year?

Joy in the little things...

In spite of our cool and cloudy summer, the flowers in my garden still proudly display their glory...

echinacea

bee balm...these flowers stand about 5 feet tall with lovely double blooms and the bees adore them

'gardens gone wild'

...one of the perks of working at a perennial wholesale nursery...

Snakes and snails and puppy tails...

There's just something about little (and big) boys!

Jakob must have thrown over a thousand rocks into the waves...

They never cease to make me proud :)

Who do you think is having the most fun?

My birthday on Sunday, a fun family day down at Deception Pass. Only one mishap...Gord running into the ocean to save a $2 Frisbee only to discover that my cell phone was in his pocket. Needless to say, it subsequently drowned...but Gord and the Frisbee were fine :)
